First Things First!

Hello everybody! I wanted to take my first post to thank you for reading and to provide a little background about this blog and my search for the perfect everday carry pen.

I’ve always been a little enamored with pens and stationery in general. Always taking an extra long look around the stationery aisle when I was younger. Now, I could spend hours walking around specialty stationery shops as fine writing equipment seems to have grown more mainstream.

Ever since my first Zebra F-701, my first real step into the pen world, I’ve been trying to find that perfect pen. A pen that feels really great in the hand, durable enough to ride around in a backpack all day, and provides a really smooth and enjoyable writing experience. I’ve found pens that come close in one way or another but for now the search continues.

While my search began looking for the perfect pen. I’ve since added fine paper and notebooks to my search for the finest stationery. I have stacks of half empty notebooks that never quite worked out how I had hoped. Ranging from your basic Moleskine to the super interesting Hobonichi 5 year.

Hopefully we can find the best stationery together. While I use this blog as a thinly veiled excuse to buy and try loads more notebooks and pens. And maybe it will force me to adapt a little more scientific rigor to my pen reviewing process.
